    The Southern Group Harbours Project rehabilitated and upgraded Omutu Harbour, improving the safety and reliability of access for people, freight, fuel and essential supplies to Mitiaro.

    Mitiaro Solar Mini-grid

    energy · 2018–2019

    A solar mini-grid designed to supply around 95% of Mitiaro's electricity from solar, with battery storage and modernised distribution — commissioned in 2018 as part of the Southern Group renewable programme completed in 2019.

    Mitiaro Airport Runway Emergency Repairs

    aviation · 2020–2020

    Infrastructure Cook Islands completed urgent repairs to the Mitiaro airport runway in November 2020 to maintain safe and reliable air access to the island.
