Tobacco Products Control Amendment Act 2024

Tighter tobacco and vaping controls — stronger product rules, display and licensing restrictions, and the purchase age raised to 21.

The amendment strengthened product controls, display and licensing rules, and e-cigarette prohibitions, and raised the purchase age to 21 — a move toward fuller compliance with the WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control. It complements the Public Health Act 2024.
